Athens residents are invited to participate in a community cleanup event on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. until the collection site is full. The drop-off location at 500 Aaron Street will accept trash, brush, and yard waste, but electronics will not be collected. A recycling truck will be available for small items, and participants must show their City of Athens water bill. Neighborhoods and businesses are encouraged to organize cleanup teams.
