Here are the 5 things I learned during this interview:

-- The Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of their own. Brandon Pryor passed away Oct. 11.  (:55)

-- Stats are up this week, with 401 inmates in the jail today. (2:40)

-- A man was arrested in GBC for drug charges. He was found with methamphetamine, heroin, and GHB (the date rape drug). (6:05)

-- The County Jail had its surprise jail inspection on Tuesday. The jail passed. “This Commission completed its comprehensive review of our facility, and I am pleased to let the people of this County know we continue to excel in our responsibilities to this community,” Sheriff Hillhouse said. (9:40)

-- Thursday morning, Sheriff Hillhouse recognized the Officers of the third quarter of 2020. Deputy Luke Rachel, Communications Officer Amanda Quattlebaum, and Detention Officer Michelle Briggs were all recognized Thursday by Sheriff Hillhouse for their outstanding service to Henderson County. They are pictured below. (13:20)
